A harp–sized stage 👌🏼
A very full day of education concerts with the Lagniappe Trio at elementary and middle schools all around Meridian. We are so grateful to the Meridian Arts Council for making this happen!
I know, I know. I *just* posted a photo of my harp in a gazebo, but.... THOSE TWINKLE LIGHTS! 😍 #gazebolife
For outdoor weddings, gazebos are a harpist’s best friend.
The prelude kiddos hard at work during an HYHE rehearsal.
Who is ready to get married again and wants to have their reception dinner here? 🙋🏼♀️
HYHE students in the prelude harp ensemble hard at work during their first rehearsal!
@gregoryalanisakov performed the last concert I saw in DC before moving to Houston in 2015. That show was one of the most moving musical experiences of my life... one I’ll never forget. I could listen to him all day. But instead here I am, trying to be him instead 🤷🏼♀️ Here is a transcription of “Amsterdam,” based off the arrangement that was a result of his collaboration with the @coloradosymphony in 2016.
I spy three mini Stephanies taking a picture in today’s gorgeous workspace. Happy engagement, Aya and Mazzen!
Calling all harp students! @naomihoffmeyer.harpist and I are launching the Houston Youth Harp Ensemble this fall, and the registration deadline is quickly approaching. We’re playing music from your favorite movies and musicals, and students must register by August 15 to guarantee their spot. Don’t miss out!!
Forever waiting for my entrance #lifeofaharpist
It may be pretty, but it sure is out of tune 🙃
So much enthusiasm for music from these little ones, my heart could burst.
Thanks @festivalsouth for inviting me to talk about my very favorite thing with so many enthusiastic kiddos!
Last show of the season, featuring Hominum by Gabriela Ortiz and Orff’s Carmina Burana. I always love coming out to New Orleans and making music in this pretty hall.
Feeling so proud of all my students who performed in today’s spring recital. All of them were so courageous and worked so hard to do their very best. I love my studio!!
Feeling reenergized after yesterday’s fantastic masterclass and recital. MAJOR THANKS to @operazzi33 for your words and your music and to @emilykleinharp for coordinating such an inspiring event for the harpists and harp students of Houston.
Love making music with these two. Also love this 80 degree weather in Baton Rouge (sorry for your snow).
Added this lady to the studio today. I am BURSTING with excitement. Welcome home 🏡
